Eve

Peace! My name is Eve Newell, but my clients affectionately call me “Auntie Eve”. I am a mother of 2 beautiful humans and 2 fur babies.

I became a Doula in 2019, inspired by my own powerful VBAC in my home. The moment my son was in my arms, I remember saying: “I MUST share this empowering experience with every woman I can. They need to feel this same power, and I am going to help them.” That journey opened my eyes to the wisdom and strength within the female body. I very quickly realized I was called to this work. Since then, I’ve attended and assisted over 200 births, each one deepening my belief in the sacredness of birth as a ceremony to be honored, not a condition to be treated.

My connection with the mothers I serve often feels like a soul bond, and I trust Spirit’s guidance, which reveals insights that allow me to meet each of my mother’s unique needs. I’m dedicated to helping women reclaim their birth stories and their bodies, respecting and protecting their innate power.

Two years ago, I felt a powerful call to become a midwife, and now, as all the pieces have aligned, I am stepping fully into this journey with reverence and excitement. I’m especially committed to changing the narrative for Black women and Black families. The unacceptable maternal mortality rates for Black women in the U.S. are driven by systemic racism and bias in the medical model of care. Every mother deserves a birth experience that affirms her strength, honors her story and celebrates the sacred journey of bringing life into the world. I’m here to serve families with my whole heart, be an advocate and an ally, working to ensure that Black mothers are heard, supported and empowered through every step of this journey.

After working along side Eve for many years and seeing her commitment to her clients. We knew she would not only make an excellent midwife someday but she would be the perfect person to fill the role as our Concierge Doula Coordinator for DFW Community Doula Network. Finding the perfect match between DFW families and community doulas.

If you would like to have Eve as your doula or as the student midwife apart of your care please let us know here.
