FAQ

Dallas Midwife & Baby
  • Currently we are transitioning away from being in-network providers. While we feel deeply that midwifery care should be attainable for all, this decision allows us to dedicate more time to the families we are serving.

Insurance: While we do not accept insurance we are out of network providers. If you email us a copy of your insurance card(s) and ID prior to your intake appointment, we can contact your insurance company and ask for a verification of benefits. This can give an estimate of what your insurance may reimburse you for our care. We do our best to do these promptly but please give us 5-7 days as waiting on hold and speaking to the correct person with insurance companies can take time, unfortunately. With insurance, maternity care is billed after your final postpartum visit or after your last visit if you transfer out of care early. If your account is current with us, we will submit a claim to your insurance for you, including what you have paid for care and you will receive a reimbursement check from them if services are covered under your plan. Superbills are available upon request for self submitting.

We accept most healths hare co-ops, along with HSA/FSA accounts and offer payment plans. We also have financing resources.

*Discounts can be given if using insurance for labs

Your prenatal care is an opportunity for us to build a trusting relationship, educate you about the physiological processes of pregnancy and birth, and learn from you about your body, your baby, and your birth preferences.
